Rele & Becker is particularly focused on transactions and legal issues relating to India. One of the founding members of Rele & Becker is an accomplished Indian qualified attorney who has previously practiced in India and maintains close working relationships with leading India based companies, investors, investment and M&A advisory firms, outsourcing firms and law firms.

As part of our cross border India practice, we assist United States based clients who are interested in establishing or maintaining operations and/or investments in India, including pursuing acquisitions in India. We frequently represent entities in advising them on foreign direct investments into India. We also assist Indian businesses interested in establishing, maintaining, making acquisitions or growing their business in the United States.

	Represented a major Asian telecommunications company in its $400 million acquisition of a 30% stake in an Indian telecommunications company.

	Represented an Indian sponsor holding majority interest in a power plant project set up in southern India.

	Represented a consortium of U.S. investors in their $425 million bid to purchase the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agencies' shares in Indonesia's largest publicly traded company.

	Represented one of the sponsors of a start-up telecommunications company in Singapore in negotiating a $515 million limited recourse financing facility.

	Represented a U.S. investor in its acquisition of a European chemical business in a deal valued in excess of $400 million.

	Represented an Israeli company in its corporate restructuring as a Delaware corporation.

	Assisted a major U.S. technology company in setting up a wholly owned subsidiary in a Software Technology Park in India.

	Represented an Indian marketing BPO company in the acquisition of a U.S. based marketing company.

	Represented an Indian BPO company in its acquisition of a mortgage origination and service company in the U.S.

	Represented an Indian public company in the acquisition of a US information technology company.

	Represented an Indian public company in the acquisition of a US business process outsourcing company.

	Represented several leading top-tier business process outsourcing service providers in drafting and negotiating business process outsourcing agreements with top-tier US financial institutions, insurance companies, investment banks, service companies in connection with outsourcing of various processes, including, without limitations, finance and accounting processes, mortgage and mortgage related processes, call center services, human resources, transaction processing, research and analytics and claims processing.

	Represented several leading Indian information technology companies in negotiating and drafting information technology outsourcing agreements.

	Represented various leading firms in setting up funds in offshore jurisdictions for investing into India.

	Represented a group of US investors in structuring their investment into the real estate sector in India.

	Represented a leading financial institution in structuring an India focused fund.

	Represented an Indian publicly listed information technology company in its $100 million GDR offering.
